Category: TRADITIONAL REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS
Notes:
The Series
40000 and Series 41000 safety valves are a highly reliable solution for
protecting professional refrigeration systems operating with Group 2
refrigerants, including HCFC, HFC, HFO and HC.
Designed for use on pressurised
tanks, A1 systems, heat pumps and high-pressure lines, these valves are
manufactured with top-quality materials to ensure maximum mechanical strength
and operational safety. The angled version Series 40000 is made of
hot-forged brass EN 12165-CW617N, while the straight version Series
41000 uses drawn brass EN 12164-CW614N, providing robust performance in
both layouts.
At the heart of the safety mechanism is a brass shutter
with PTFE sealing, engineered for rapid activation without sticking—even
after extended periods of inactivity.
The cataphoresis-treated harmonic
steel spring maintains pressure calibration reliably over time, and the coined
brass cap prevents any tampering of the internal components. These valves
are non-resealable: once activated, they must be replaced, in
accordance with international safety standards.
Each valve is 100% helium tested using
high-sensitivity leak detection systems and laser-marked with the date and
serial number to ensure full traceability of test results. A calibration
certificate is provided with each unit to certify compliance with safety
specifications.
The maximum operating pressure (PS) is 55 bar (798
psi), and the operating temperature range (TS) spans from –50°C
to +150°C (–58°F ÷ +302°F), making the Series 40000 and 41000
suitable for extreme temperature conditions and demanding thermal cycles. Fully
compliant with Directive 2014/68/EU (PED), these valves are CE
certified, guaranteeing adherence to European pressure equipment
regulations.
Technical features:
COMPATIBLE A1 REFRIGERANT GASES
HFC, HFO, and HFO/HFC blends: R404A, R407C, R410A, R507, R32, R134a
HFO e miscele HFO/HFC: R1234ze, R448A, R449A, R450A, R452A, R1234yf, R1233zd
LONG-LASTING RELIABILITY
The PTFE sealing element prevents the shutter from sticking to the seat, ensuring that the set pressure remains stable over time, even after extended operation or exposure to chemically aggressive refrigerants. The use of hot-forged brass, harmonic steel with anti-corrosion treatment, and other high-grade materials contributes to long-lasting and reliable performance under thermal and pressure cycling.
CALIBRATION SAFETY
After calibration, the adjustment ring is locked in place using a low-viscosity, high-strength anaerobic adhesive, which penetrates the threads and prevents any misalignment or accidental tampering. This ensures that the set point remains unchanged, preserving the system’s integrity and safety in all operating conditions.
TAMPER-PROOF PROTECTION
Each valve is fitted with a forged brass protection cap, crimped in place after calibration. This mechanical sealing process ensures that the device cannot be tampered with without visible damage, guaranteeing the inviolability of the safety mechanism and full compliance with international standards.
100% HELIUM TESTED
Every Series 40000 and 41000 safety valve undergoes individual testing using 100% pure helium, a gas ideal for detecting even the smallest leaks due to its molecular size. Each valve is then laser-engraved with the test date and a unique serial number, offering full and permanent traceability of its tested performance. All valves are delivered with an individual calibration certificate, in full compliance with PED Directive 2014/68/EU.
