FastLock 38000-2 is the normally closed 2/2-way solenoid valve designed by OLAB for professional refrigeration systems using A3–A2L refrigerants. It combines a robust design with maximum installation simplicity thanks to the patented FastLock A3–A2L system, which allows for a mechanical connection without welding, ensuring permanent sealing without the need for specialized personnel or equipment.

The valve body, made of high-precision yellow brass, houses a stainless steel AISI 304 tube and a PTFE sealing system. The entire assembly is engineered to withstand extreme pressure and temperature conditions. The double O-Rings, positioned at every critical point, are made of HNBR 100% PFAS-FREE compound certified by OLAB, ensuring maximum compatibility with A3–A2L refrigerants and reliable sealing even under intense duty cycles. An additional sealing element, specifically developed for these systems, ensures leak-free operation even under thermal and chemical stress. The operating stem is made of AISI 303 stainless steel, guaranteeing mechanical resistance and durability. The 30 mm coil, with ø14 mm bore, is class H (180°C) and IP67-certified, ensuring protection in humid, dusty, or splash-prone environments. The entire component is UL 207 and UL 429 certified.


The FastLock connection completely eliminates the need for tube welding. The pipe is inserted with a reinforcement sleeve in stainless steel into the fitting body, and by tightening the nut to the proper torque, the ogive deforms and locks the tube in place. The AST groove on the reinforcement sleeve ensures secure mechanical retention, even in the presence of high-pressure cycles, while maintaining perfect sealing. Maintenance is just as simple: all operations are mechanical, requiring no cutting or welding. This significantly reduces system downtime, increases safety during service, and preserves the integrity of the component and its sealing elements over time.


Each valve is individually 100% helium tested in a dedicated OLAB facility. Laser marking of the date and serial number confirms test compliance and enables lifetime traceability of recorded performance data.

Products equipped with HNBR seals must not be installed on systems using HCFCs (R22) or any refrigerants mixed with mineral oils or alkylbenzene lubricants.

Our HNBR compound seals have been specifically designed and manufactured for compatibility with A3 and A2L refrigerant gases (as defined in ASHRAE Standard 34). However, due to the countless variables involved in real-world applications—such as pressure, temperature, and mixing ratios—an application-specific validation on the system is always required.

The tube slides into the fitting and, when the nut is tightened to the proper torque, the ogive deforms and locks the tube in place. The AST groove in the reinforcement bush adds further mechanical retention under pressure cycling.
