SAFELOCK (K10042) is the access fitting developed by OLAB for professional A3–A2L refrigeration systems. It features the Fast Lock A3–A2L connection system, which completely eliminates the need for welding, reducing installation time and cost while ensuring a secure, leak-free joint without requiring specialized tools or personnel.

The component is equipped with a hexagonal cap designed for use with a standard wrench. This configuration allows safe recharging of the system and, more importantly, guarantees perfect resealing thanks to the dual HNBR seal integrated into the cap itself.
All sealing elements are made of HNBR 100% PFAS-FREE, certified by OLAB, ensuring maximum chemical compatibility with A3–A2L refrigerants and long-lasting sealing performance under thermal and pressure stress.

Reliability is further enhanced by the mechanical locking system: as the nut is tightened, the ogive deforms, and the AST groove on the stainless steel reinforcement bush ensures secure retention of the tube inside the fitting body—even during intense pressure cycles.
Assembly and disassembly are quick and simple, entirely mechanical, and free of thermal stress, preserving the integrity of both the fitting and sealing components.

Each unit is 100% helium tested in a dedicated facility. Laser-marked date and serial number certify that the fitting has passed the test and allow lifetime traceability of performance data.
SAFELOCK (K10042) is rated for 52 bar (754 psi) and operates within a temperature range of –40°C to +150°C (–40°F to +302°F). As part of OLAB’s 100% PFAS-FREE COMPONENTS range, and UL 207 certified, it represents a new benchmark in safety, sustainability, and technical reliability for modern refrigeration systems.

HFC, HFO, and HFO/HFC blends: R404A, R407C, R410A, R507, R32, R134a (up to +125°C / 257°F).
HFO and HFO/HFC blends: R1234ze, R448A, R449A, R450A, R452A, R1234yf.
HC: R290, R600, R600a.

Products equipped with HNBR seals must not be installed on systems using HCFCs (R22) or any refrigerants mixed with mineral oils or alkylbenzene lubricants.

Our HNBR compound seals have been specifically designed and manufactured for compatibility with A3 and A2L refrigerant gases (as defined in ASHRAE Standard 34). However, due to the countless variables involved in real-world applications—such as pressure, temperature, and mixing ratios—an application-specific validation on the system is always required.

HI-PERFORMANCE

The hexagonal shape of the cap allows the charging port to be closed using a standard wrench. This enables the technician to recharge the system and — most importantly — to reseal it perfectly without any leaks, thanks to the double-seal configuration.

The deformation of the ogive, combined with the AST groove on the reinforcement bush, ensures secure retention of the tube inside the fitting body.
