    Technical Data Sheet

The Series 30400-2 is OLAB’s 2/2-way normally closed solenoid valve engineered for professional refrigeration systems using A3–A2L refrigerants. Designed to deliver maximum performance even under extreme operating conditions, it features the highest differential pressure values in its category, with an MOPD of 30 bar (435 psi), while maintaining the lowest power consumption, making it a standout solution in terms of efficiency and reliability.

The valve incorporates a universal pilot compatible with all OLAB pipe diameters (3/8”, 1/2”, 5/8”, 7/8”, Ø10, Ø12, Ø16, Ø22), ensuring full modularity and seamless system integration. The forged components inside the pilot allow for quick and secure assembly, while the installation process itself is optimized to avoid any welding-related issues, as the pilot is mounted only after the soldering phase, preventing heat damage to internal seals.

Built for durability, the body features a machined-from-solid AISI 303 stainless steel sleeve and a yellow brass housing, delivering excellent mechanical strength.

The PTFE sealing element combined with an HNBR 100% PFAS-FREE O-Ring certified by OLAB guarantees long-lasting leak-proof performance, even under intense thermal and mechanical stress. The Series 30400-2 is IP67 and UL certified, offering full protection against dust ingress and temporary water immersion.

Each solenoid valve undergoes 100% individual helium leak testing in a dedicated OLAB facility. Laser-marked with date and serial number, each unit ensures lifetime traceability of its verified performance data. Operating up to  52 bar (753 psi) and over a wide temperature range from –40?°C to +130?°C (–40?°F to +266?°F), the Series 30400-2 is the first solenoid valve in its class capable of delivering such high performance at low power absorption. This product belongs to the OLAB LOW-PFAS IMPACT COMPONENTS line, and complies with the most stringent industry certifications: IP67, UL 207, and UL 429.

    COMPATIBLE A3–A2L REFRIGERANT GASES

    HFC, HFO, and HFO/HFC blends: R404A, R407C, R410A, R507, R32, R134a (up to +125°C / 257°F).
    HFO and HFO/HFC blends: R1234ze, R448A, R449A, R450A, R452A, R1234yf.
    HC: R290, R600, R600a.

Products equipped with HNBR seals must not be installed on systems using HCFCs (R22) or any refrigerants mixed with mineral oils or alkylbenzene lubricants.

Our HNBR compound seals have been specifically designed and manufactured for compatibility with A3 and A2L refrigerant gases (as defined in ASHRAE Standard 34). However, due to the countless variables involved in real-world applications—such as pressure, temperature, and mixing ratios—an application-specific validation on the system is always required.

    UNIVERSAL PILOT SYSTEM
Equipped with a single universal pilot, fully compatible with the entire OLAB range of diameters (3/8”, 1/2”, 5/8”, 7/8”, Ø10, Ø12, Ø16, Ø22), the system ensures maximum versatility and integration across various installations.

    FAST AND SAFE ASSEMBLY
The pilot design incorporates forged internal components that enable rapid and secure installation, improving reliability and minimizing human error during assembly.

    NO WELDING ISSUES
The pilot is not pre-mounted on the body during welding operations. This eliminates the risk of thermal damage to the internal components, ensuring total protection of the sealing elements and mechanical parts.

    100% HELIUM TESTED
Each unit is individually tested in a state-of-the-art helium facility. Date and serial number are engraved to certify compliance and allow full traceability of recorded performance data.
