Series Revolution K09967 (European Patented) is the flanged brass ball valve designed by OLAB for CO2 (R744) applications under transcritical conditions, recognised as an Innovation of the Year nominee at the ATMO Summit America 2023.
It was developed to replace, without compromise, traditional ODS valves with brazed or threaded connections, offering a structure that is more solid, safer, and more efficient.
The valve body is entirely machined from high-precision brass, with no structural welds. Assembly is performed using A2 stainless steel screws, which thread directly into the internal flange seats.The ball is available in chrome-plated brass.
The sealing system features a double EPDM O-Ring, certified by OLAB and 100% PFAS-free at each potential leakage point — the same technology awarded Innovation of the Year at ATMOSummit Europe 2024.
The O-Rings are housed in closed, extrusion-resistant chambers that maintain integrity even under intense thermal and pressure cycling. The result is long-term tightness — not just claimed, but demonstrable.
Installation of the Series Revolution is quick, safe, and free from thermal stress.
The AISI 304 stainless steel flanges are welded to the system during the initial installation phase — only once. The valve body itself requires no welding: it is mechanically secured via A2 stainless steel screws and anti-loosening washers.
This eliminates direct exposure to heat near the O-Rings, which therefore retain their full elastic and chemical properties. No hardening, no crystallization, no thermal degradation. Even replacement is simple and safe: the central body is unscrewed and replaced with a new one — directly on the existing flanges, without cutting, without welding, and without specialized personnel.
It’s a clean, mechanical intervention logic that reduces downtime and preserves component life.
At the end of its service life, the customer can return the valve body to OLAB for regeneration — an industrially sound and sustainable approach that reduces both operating costs and material waste.
Series Revolution K09967 is CE, UL 207 certified and is patented in Europe under patent EP 4357648 B1, with a guaranteed operating pressure of 130 bar / 1885 psi, Safety Factor 3, and a working temperature range from –50 °C / –58 °F to +150 °C / +302 °F.
It is available in sizes: DN 12 - 15 - 20 - 15 - 32 - 40 - 50 mm (3/8 - 1/2 - 5/8 - 3/ 4 - 7/8 - 1 1/8 - 1 3/8 - 1 5/8 - 2 1/8 in).
