OLAB Turbo is the bidirectional ball valve with Fast Lock CO2 connection developed
by OLAB for professional CO2 (R744) refrigeration systems
operating in subcritical conditions, where safety, reliability,
and ease of installation are essential. This high-efficiency CO2 ball
valve features OLAB’s patented Fast Lock CO2 technology, which
completely eliminates the need for welding, reducing both installation time and
cost while ensuring a perfect seal, even when used with uncalibrated
pipes.
Unlike
traditional solutions, tightening the nut compresses the BCL split ring,
which firmly locks the pipe to prevent it from slipping. At the same
time, the washer presses the EPDM 100% PFAS-FREE O-Ring, OLAB-certified
and winner of the Innovation of the Year at ATMOSummit Europe 2024, into
its seat, preventing any leakage. This system ensures a tight, stable, and
durable connection, even in the presence of vibrations or pressure
variations. The valve body is built with a mechanical joint secured by spin
riveting and dual O-Rings, guaranteeing long-term leak-proof performance.
The stainless steel actuator stem is equipped with a double
EPDM 100% PFAS-FREE O-Ring for added safety and system longevity. The brass
sealing cap with integrated gasket offers additional protection against
accidental damage. The integrated access fitting includes a hermetic
cap with dual EPDM 100% PFAS-FREE seal, ensuring a secure closure.
Every
Turbo valve undergoes 100% helium leak testing at OLAB’s advanced
facilities. The engraved serial number and date ensure full traceability
and compliance with long-term performance standards.
The OLAB Turbo is rated for pressures from 52 to 130 bar
(754 to 1885 psi) and a temperature range from –50°C to +150°C
(–58°F to +302°F), providing full compatibility with the operational demands of
CO2 systems. The valve is compatible with K65
copper pipes (Ø1/4",
Ø3/8",
Ø1/2",
Ø5/8",
Ø3/4",
Ø7/8")
for subcritical applications, and with stainless steel pipes (Ø6, Ø10, Ø12, Ø16, Ø18 mm)
for transcritical systems.
