Category: INDIRECT AND MIXED ACTION SOLENOID VALVES
Ways: 2/2
Notes:
The Series
18501L is a 2/2-way normally open solenoid valve with indirect acting
system, specifically engineered for high-reliability performance in
professional water systems, particularly those involving potable water
applications. Its inspectable design allows for quick and localized
maintenance interventions without the need to disassemble the valve from the
system.
Constructed
with a CW510L-OT57 lead-free brass body, in compliance with NSF USA
standards, it is fully suitable for water distribution and treatment circuits
intended for human consumption. The sleeve in AISI 304 stainless
steel, paired with sealing options in EPDM or FKM, ensures
mechanical durability, long-term stability, and excellent chemical
compatibility with potable water—even under demanding thermal or operational
conditions.
The valve
is piloted by a 30 mm coil (8000BH) with a 14 mm inner diameter,
built with class H insulation (180°C / 356°F), making it ideal for use
in systems subject to frequent activation and elevated temperatures. Thanks to
its indirect acting architecture, the valve efficiently handles high
pressure differentials and large flow orifices, delivering smooth and
consistent opening and closing performance, even at pressures up to 20 bar
(290 psi).
Its IP65 protection rating guarantees safe operation
in dusty or humid environments. The available sealing compounds support a wide
thermal range: EPDM from –30°C to +145°C (–22°F to +293°F), FKM from
–15°C to +150°C (+5°F to +302°F), and NBR from –20°C to +90°C (–4°F to
+194°F).
The valve is available with female threaded ports in 3/8",
1/2", 3/4", and 1", ensuring seamless integration into a
variety of system configurations.
Certified by VDE, UL, NSF COMPONENT, and NSF/ANSI/CAN
61, the Series 18501L meets the highest international standards for
quality, safety, and food-grade compliance.
Technical features:
SUITABLE FOR FOOD CONTACT
Manufactured with certified materials in compliance with international standards, it is suitable for applications involving direct contact with fluids intended for human consumption, in accordance with NSF COMPONENT and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 certifications.
DESIGNED FOR POTABLE WATER APPLICATIONS
The lead-free CW510L-OT57 brass body, combined with selectable seals in EPDM or FKM, ensures full compatibility with professional drinking water treatment and distribution systems.
ENGINEERED FOR HEAVY-DUTY OPERATION WHERE THE COIL IS HIGHLY STRESSED
The 8000BH coil, measuring 30 mm and built with class H insulation (180°C / 356°F), is designed to withstand frequent activations, high temperatures, and intensive duty cycles without compromising performance or durability.
HIGH OPENING DIFFERENTIALS WITH LARGE ORIFICE DIAMETERS
The indirect acting system allows the valve to handle significant pressure differentials, even with large flow passages, ensuring a smooth and stable response under all conditions.
LOW SOLENOID POWER REQUIREMENT UNDER HIGH PRESSURE CONDITIONS
Thanks to its pilot-operated design, the valve delivers high performance even at elevated pressures, while requiring only minimal power to activate the solenoid, enhancing the system’s overall energy efficiency.
