OLAB
ExpansionTech is
the solenoid expansion valve designed for professional CO2 (R744)
systems, combining fast installation, leak-proof sealing, and maximum
internal cleanliness. Thanks to the FastLock CO2 connection, welding
is no longer required—eliminating the risk of damaging seals and internal
components during installation, while reducing time, cost, and operational
complexity.
Sealing is
ensured by OLAB-certified 100% PFAS-FREE EPDM O-Rings, winner of the Innovation
of the Year award at ATMO Summit Europe 2024, located between both the body
and nozzle and the body and sleeve. The sleeve, made of AISI 304 stainless
steel, is laser-welded in-house at OLAB with dedicated technology to ensure
durability and long-term sealing.
The valve body is made of yellow
brass. The 36 mm coil, H-class (180°C), is UL-certified
and rated IP67: full insulation is guaranteed by two O-Rings, top and
bottom, protecting it from moisture and external contamination.
An internal stainless-steel filter, fully
inspectable, prevents even the smallest impurities from entering the system.
The DN is equipped with a removable stainless-steel insert,
interchangeable across the entire DN range.
ExpansionTech is fully inspectable and individually
tested with OLAB’s 100% helium leak detection system. Each valve is marked
with production date and serial number, ensuring complete traceability
of performance data over time. The static pressure rating is 90 bar (1305
psi), the maximum MOPD is 37 bar (537 psi), and the operating
temperature range is -50°C to +100°C (-58°F to +212°F). The valve
complies with IP67 and UL 207 standards and is classified as a LOW-PFAS
IMPACT component thanks to its exclusive use of OLAB-certified 100%
PFAS-FREE EPDM O-Rings.
