Series 18000 is a 2/2?ways,
normally?closed, indirect?acting solenoid valve designed for
professional hydraulic systems.
It’s fully serviceable
and manufactured using high?quality materials. The body
and cover are made of brass, ensuring robustness and corrosion resistance.
The sleeve assembly is available in stainless steel for models up
to 1”, or in
EN12164 – CW614N
brass for sizes
from 1”1/4 to 2”. The plunger made of ferritic
steel, while the springs are manufactured from AISI 302 stainless
steel, ensuring long?term durability and stable elastic response.
The sealing
gaskets, available in NBR, EPDM or FKM—including food?grade
versions—allow the
valve to be adapted to various operating conditions. The coils, insulation
class H (180°C), are available in the 9000BH
22mm version up to 1”, and in the
8000BH 30mm version from 1”1/4
to 2”. The cover
fastening screws are made of A2?70 austenitic stainless steel to guarantee mechanical
reliability even after repeated servicing operations.
The
indirect?acting operating principle allows the management of high
differential pressures even with large?diameter orifices. Valve opening occurs through a
pressure imbalance generated by the activation of the pilot circuit: the
pilot orifice connects the compensation chamber to the outlet chamber,
reducing the pressure above the diaphragm. The diaphragm lifts and opens
the main passage without requiring any direct lifting force from the solenoid.
This three?chamber configuration (inlet, compensation, outlet) enables
high flow rates under high differential pressures, making the valve
suitable for installations with significant hydraulic head or high flow demand.
The pilot operator does not directly lift the obturator; it merely initiates
the pressure sequence that actuates the diaphragm. This allows the use of low?power coils even with high pressures,
reducing overall energy consumption and limiting thermal rise of the system.
The result
is a reliable, efficient solution fully aligned with modern energy?saving
requirements. Series
18000 is also a cost?effective choice for professional installations,
offering an optimal balance between material quality, performance, and
overall cost. The optimized design helps reduce production and maintenance
expenses while maintaining high technical standards.
The maximum
operating pressure (PS) is 20 bar (290 psi). Operating temperature
limits (TS) depend on the gasket material: NBR: –20°C to +90°C (–4°F to
+194°F), EPDM: –30°C to +145°C (–22°F to +293°F), FKM: –15°C to +160°C (+5°F to
+320°F).
VDE and UL certifications attest to
compliance with major international safety standards. Indirect?acting
valves require a minimum inlet pressure (typically between 0.1 and 0.4 bar)
to ensure proper opening. It is also important to consider the inherent
response delay of the valve: depending on the nominal diameter and compensation
orifice geometry, activation may take several hundred milliseconds. This
behavior is entirely normal and characteristic of indirect?acting
solenoid valves, and should not be compared to the significantly faster
response of direct?acting or combined?acting valves.
